About Us

Like a much-loved newborn, Flagship Wines was conceived from a yearning passion.

A passion for fine wine.

And whilst it wouldn't be the first time that a grape's fermented juice has led to emotional behaviour, we still want to shout it to the world.

The name we gave our baby gives a hint of our intentions. These wines, every last gorgeous one of them, are indeed Flagship Wines. They are WMDs: Wines of Must Distinction! And each with cellaring provenance.

Everything from piquant Pinots to shattering Shiraz's, and too many more alliterative adjectives to mention.

(Oh all right here's a taste because we can’t help ourselves).

We have the magnificent Mary Kathleens, Vasse Felix and Punters Corner Spartacus (98-02). There are also "The Baby Grange" Penfolds RWT, St Henri, Bin 389 (10 vintages) as well as Orlando with St Hugo, Lawson's, Jacaranda Ridge and Coonawarra Cab Sav's. We have Wynns (including the Michael and Riddoch), Seppelts, Michelton Print and D'Arenburg Dead Arms (we wouldn't pull your leg) and lots of Magnums.

Phew, that's thirsty work.

Needless to say these wines have been lovingly cared for in a climate-controlled nursery we call 'the igloo'.

It's where our babies sleep, ready to be enjoyed by their new adoptive parents.

You.

So if you're looking for that hard to find vintage, or are hosting a tasting (we have stacks of verticals), have a leisurely browse of the site.

Our passion also extends to food and we're planning some special events such as dinners and tastings that we think will be delicious, educational and fun.

We aren't a cut-price wine retailer, there are plenty of those already. We like to think we're something different, like a hidden-away bookshop full of first print rarities.

We genuinely care about these wines (our babies), and your experience with us.

We hope you can join our 'extended family'.
