Autumn 2006 Tasting Notes by Pete Bissell

The 1997 Balnaves Cabernet Sauvignon is medium dark red in colour with brown tint. The nose is lifted showing mint and leafy cabernet notes with some eucalyptus notes. Still good fruit on the nose. The palate is sweet with dark fruit, mint, liquorice, dark chocolate and eucalyptus notes. Still firm and tannic. Looking better with age
