TASTING NOTE: Deep ruby red with purple hues showing brilliant clarity. Rich black berry, chocolate and spice on the nose integrated with earthy complexity. Concentrated rich berry fruit flavours complexed by plum and cinnamon spice characters. Fine lingering tannins complex this stylish wine. Good textured palate and integrated vanillin with good persistence of flavours. . BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Established in 1893 Leasingham Wines has been an integral part of the Clare Valley for over 100 years. Today, Leasingham’s 300 hectares of vineyards located to the north and south of Clare provide the premium fruit, which along with the winemaking commitment and expertise, enable Leasingham to produce outstanding, award winning regional wines. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?: Vintaged from the renowned dryland Schobers vineyard in South Australia’s Clare Valley. A long dry ripening season led to low vintage of intense berry flavours. Following fermentation in American oak, this wine was matured for 18 months prior to release.
